Last weeek we held our SWO Angels members met for one of our regular evening’s of socializing, this time at London Wine Bar’s new location in Wortley Village.

There was a warm and invigorating atmosphere created from the sound of engaging conversations, mingled with a great jazz and blues mix provided by the Wine Bar’s Kaptain. The experience was heightened of course with an excellent tasting menu and wine pairings. The list of food and wine is too long to detail, but was sampled fully – and differently – by everyone. My favourites were the Charcuterie Board with a Memora Zinfandel (Italy), Panko Crusted Brie with an Alpamanta Malbec (Argentina), and the Ribeye Bulgogi Frites paired with Bogle’s Cabernet Sauvignon (California). For the white wine drinkers, Principato’s Pinot Grigio (Italy) was the run-away choice.

Yuri Navarro, CEO of National Angel Capital Organization, also joined us and brought words of welcome and an update on NACOs efforts on behalf of angel groups across Canada. They have been a key enabler and facilitator of connections to support the angel-stage investment asset class. Make sure to save September 25-27 for their 2018 World Angel Investment Summit in Toronto. This is a must-not-miss event for all angel investors.
