Uniting Angel Investors

SWO Angels, Golden Triangle Angel Network and Angel One Investor Network came together last night to celebrate the launch of our strategic joint venture, “Equation,” forming one of the largest angel networks in North America with almost 200 cheque-writing angel investors.

For SWO Angels, a founding partner in Equation, this means access to more investment opportunities for members. In addition to accessing more start-ups and contributing to an even larger community, we’re able to meet and network with even more like-minded investors.

Together with over 300 guests, we shared the grand reveal of our new name and logo. The event took place at DeGroote School of Business Ron Joyce Centre at McMaster University, where we met 20 portfolio companies to hear about their impressive progress and exciting new opportunities. We also enjoyed networking with fellow angel investors and ecosystem partners.

Three parts to an “equation,” this collaboration brings access to more capital, more knowledge and more experience. It represents the exciting growth of angel investing in Ontario from the perspective of both investors and entrepreneurs.
