October Investor Meeting Highlights

On a crisp damp fall morning we gathered in a new location at the Highland Country Club for our monthly Investor Meeting. The bright green of fairways and trees (still) was an inspiring backdrop to listen to the pitches from two founders about their ventures.

But first we enjoyed a productive networking time over a full buffet breakfast and also shared from our experiences last week at the launch for Equation Angels – our partnership with Angel One and GTAN representing one of the largest angel networks in North America!

The core purpose of these monthly meetings is to offer our members a curated pipeline of investment opportunities. Snapshots of the two ventures selected this month are included below.

October Presenting Companies:

Clean Slate UV allows hospital staff & visitors to sanitize smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices in just 20 seconds. Clean Slate UV has made sales into 40+ hospitals, has the best product on market, and a team with the drive and experience to scale.

Viafoura is transforming audiences into highly engaged and profitable subscribers. Consumers are cutting the cord with cable companies in favour of streaming content over the Internet. This exploding direct-to-consumer economy is expected to reach $159B by 2024. Media companies are striving to build a direct relationship with their audiences to convert them into paying subscribers, but nothing exist to meet their growing technology needs.

Earlier in the week both also presented to members of our Equation Angels partners. All interested Equation investor members are now assembling around the scheduled Deeper Dives to coordinate due diligence and possible syndicated investment.
