Investor Meeting Highlights – April

April 19, 2018

Author: Dennis Ensing

This morning, we held our monthly SWO Angels Investor Meeting. Two ventures presented to members in attendance at the MVP Lab in the Convergence Centre on Western’s Discovery Park. Both had presented earlier to our angel group Alliance partners, Golden Triangle Angel Network (GTAN) and Angel One Network.

A snapshot of both ventures is included below. Interested members of all three groups are scheduled for deeper dives with company principals next week, as noted below. Location details and dial-in information can be provided on request.

Investment Update: Investments led by our members in SmartTones and QuickSilk are expected to close this month. Also, due diligence is underway on Genecis, AVSS and Joyride, all of whom presented last month.

Event Update: On May 23, in Toronto, Angel Investors Ontario and YPO are co-hosting a Joint Angel Investment Event. Our next Lunch & Learn – “Managing Your Angel Investment Portfolio” – is set for June 13. Details are available on request for both of these. Please contact me if you’d like more information.

Finally, our next Investor Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 17. If you are an accredited investor and are interested in attending and learning more about SWO Angels, please let me know.
